Empty Nest Syndrome

I have not updated my blog for many years. It is just that I forgot that I have one.

I have a serious empty nest syndrome condition.

The definition of the syndrome is:

"Empty nest syndrome is a feeling of grief and loneliness parents or guardians may feel when their children leave home for the first time, such as to live on their own or to attend a college or university.

It is not a clinical condition."

Some may say it is not serious, and maybe it shows how much I appreciate my kids. It goes also being separated with my other half.

I could go into being silent the closer it gets to the actual day of the departure and it will linger for the next week or so.

My happiness is when I know where all my loved ones are, but I am also aware the saying that if you want your kids to be closer, you have to let them go.

When my first born is in Kuantan and Sri Iskandar, we make regular trips to see him, until we bought him a car so that he could drive home

On Fridays, I went to Bentong for my Friday prayers to see my second child when he was there. I could get to Bentong faster than to Shah Alam.

My youngest son is on a trip to Singapore, and my eldest daughter is in Perak studying.

My fourth child is always at home. she does not speak much and may seem non chalant about every thing but one thing for sure is that it is difficult to have her going away to boarding school.

I am looking forward to the Eid Adha holidays when again all members of the family is all together again.

Wallahualam
